Topkapi Turkish Restaurant Re-opens
Preston Street is the new home of Topkapi Turkish Restaurant, lovingly re-opened by the Erdogan family.
Thirty five years ago, Raif Erdogan opened Ottawa's first Turkish restaurant at Kent & Gloucester. He built a sterling reputation by serving up the best Doner Kababs and Turkish cuisine in town. Over the years Topkapi moved several times until it was sold in 1988.
This past February, Raif's son Nail fulfilled a dream as he revived the family business, with the help of his wife Chantal, when they re-opened at 484 Preston Street. The refreshed Topkapi is still very authentic and serves delicious foods, but it no longer caters only to those of the Muslim faith. Alcoholic beverages are now available and their menu will please any diner. The Erdogans welcome everyone to come try their delicious cuisine and enjoy their fantastic cultural heritage!
Join them every second weekend for live traditional music and belly dancing as well as other entertainment. Call them today for reservations, 613-230-8828.
