Carnival Of Cultures
It was a cornucopia of cultural dance and singing at this year’s 17th Annual Carnival of Cultures. The three-day festival featured more than 50 performances representing countries from around the world including Croatia, Poland, Hungary, India and more. The family-oriented event included something for everyone from ethnic cuisine, face painting and activities for kids to a "Marketplace" for anyone wanting to purchase clothing, jewellery, or other accessories. The festival has moved to various venues around the city from the Astrolabe Theatre to Vincent Massey Park, but this year's venue at Marion Dewar Plaza, formerly Festival Plaza, provided a large, open space where passerbys could even catch a glimpse of the festivities.
