IRISH WEEK - Proclamation!
The 2010 Ottawa Irish Week kicked off with the annual Proclamation at St. Brigid's Centre, home of the National Irish Society.
Attended by notable figures such as Deputy Mayor Georges Bedard, Karl Gardner of the Irish Embassy and master of ceremonies, Kurt Stoodley of A-Morning, the proclamation was followed by a concert officially launching the Ottawa Irish Festival.
The following week was highlighted by everything from Celtic dance and music to art and authors at various locations across the city, but mainly at St. Brigid's.
Ottawa's Irish happily encouraged everyone to join them to have fun and frolic or as they say in Irish "Craic agus ceol!"
