2008 August > The 11th Annual Noongam Traditional Powwow

The 11th Annual Noongam powwow was held June 20th to 22nd, 2008 at Queen Julianna Park. The event was free and open to the public, rain or shine. The weather network called for severe thunderstorms all weekend, yet it remained sunny and gorgeous the entire time. It was a great turn out and everyone had a fantastic time meeting up with old friends and sharing their tradition and culture. The event corresponded with National Aboriginal Day which was June 21.
