2008 August > Doc & Woody's Golf Classic
CHEZ 106, Doc and Woody hosted their Golf Classic Tournament on July 21st. Rain drops and the Carleton University Cheerleaders sent each of the golfers on their way. All proceeds from the golf classic will benefit the Doc and Woody Fund for the operating rooms at the Children Hospital for Eastern Ontario (CHEO). Their mandate is to fund the purchase of equipment needed to give our children a better chance at successful, safer and less painful surgeries. Currently the operating rooms are in need of "Operating Room" (OR) lights at a cost of $20,000 a set! CHEO needs eight sets. So far this year they have purchased a Bronchoscope at the cost of $35,000.
