Peter, Paula and Peter Jr. pose proudly with their daughter/sister, Ottawa writer, Maria Channell

Book Signing and Salus Fund Raiser

Dealing with emotionally disturbed children has inspired locally born author, Maria Zoubek Channell, to write a suspense novel, "Ellis House", that not only entertains readers, but also takes them on an exploration deep into the human psyche.

How does one continue to function in a professional fashion when their home life is in tatters? How can a mother be strong for her children when she doesn't know how to help herself? These questions and many others are addressed in Maria's fresh work.

Maria is a child clinical psychologist who now resides with her husband and family in Massachusetts. She deals with emotionally disturbed children suffering from A.D.D. This is her first novel, a mystery whose setting takes place in a group home. Maria is interested in mental health and is giving a percentage of her sales to Salus Ottawa.

You can find her book at Britton's on Bank and Collective Works on Wellington.
